DVD Tuesday – November 24, 2009

angels-demons-posterThe stars are out this week in every genre for this Tuesday November 24, 2009 DVD releases.

Angels and Demons – This second installment in the action packed Da Vinci Code series.  The star studded team is back with Ron Howard directs and Tom Hanks and Ewan McGregor star.  In Vatican City, the Pope is dead and Papal Conclave is sequestered to determine the new Pope.  Robert Langton is summoned to solve clues left by the Illuminati who have kidnapped the preferred choices for Pope.  If you liked the first one, you will like this one too and you have probably read the book so you know the plot.

Four Christmases –  A Christmas Comedy staring Vince Vaughn and Reese Witherspoon.  They are a couple that have been together for three years and have avoided seeing their families.  This year they are forced to visit both of their divorced parents – hence the four christmases.  Hilarity ensues!

Funny People – Writer/Director Judd Apatow newest work is a drama with funny moments.  Adam Sandler stars as a comedian with terminal inoperable condition who realizes he has no friends.  He hires Seth Rogen, an aspiring comedian, as an assistant and a friend.  It seems that Judd Apatow has looked up from his crotch to contemplate his own mortality.

Shorts – Robert Rodriguez presents this imaginative family film.  A boy finds a colourful wish granting rock that everyone in town wants to get their hands on.  Craziness happens when everyone gets their own three wishes. What would you do with three wishes?
