DVD Tuesday – January 19, 2010

There is something interesting for everyone (well not the youngins)  in every genre this week ‘s DVD releases for Tuesday January 19, 2010.

Across the Hall – A thriller staring the late Brittany Murphy.  She checks into a hotel with a man other than her fiance so he checks in the room across the hall with a plan to kill the other man.  Will this movie benefit from Brittany Murphy’s death – or is it too late?

Che –  Biopic based on the life of of the revolutionary Che Guevera.  Directed by Steven Soderbergh and staring Benicio Del Toro as Che as well as Ryan Gosling, Javier Bardem and Benjamin Bratt.  Follows him from the beginning as a doctor in Argentina to his involvement in Cuban politics to his death in Bolivia.

Gamer – Sci-fi flick staring Gerard Butler and Michael C. Hall.  Set in a future-world where humans can control other humans in mass-scale, multi-player online gaming environments, a star player from a game called “Slayers” looks to regain his independence while taking down the game’s mastermind.

The Invention of Lying – Comedy staring Ricky Gervais, Jennifer Garner, Tina Fey and Rob Lowe.  In a world where everyone tells more than the truth – the things that they are thinking.  Ricky Gervais’ character figures out how to not tell the truth.
