TFS Editor-in-Chief - Coming from a theatre background and working in a 9 to 5 environment for many years, she brings a passionate love of film to her work at TFS. Trista loves all film, horror and sci-fi in particular, but never shies away from an opportunity for a film experience.

Position: Writer – Film Festivals

Toronto Film Scene is looking for a Film Festival writer. Think it’s for you? See below to find out.

Responsibilities:

  • Cover film festivals in Toronto and provide reviews, editorial pieces where appropriate, Q&A footage and interviews (where possible or appropriate) while the festival is on and shortly thereafter.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • Ability to adhere to deadlines.
  • Must have interest in film and film community.
  • Must live or work in the Greater Toronto Area.
  • Previous blogging experience an asset.
  • Previous film festival coverage an asset.
  • Professional demeanor, ability to represent TFS well in the community.
  • Experience with WordPress a definite asset.
  • Passes will be provided to the festivals when possible.
