NFB Short Films – Slap ‘n’ Tickle

Watching a short film program is sort of like watching a whole heap of movie trailers before a feature; some you love, some you hate, but they never last long enough to annoy you.  I find shorts immensely satisfying, but usually have to wait for a film festival in order to enjoy one.  Well happily, there is a short program on tonight at the National Film Board Toronto Mediatheque called Slap ‘n’ Tickle (curated by the Canadian Film Centre‘s programming manager).

The program consists of 11 short films from around the world, running from 3 to 14 minutes, organized around the theme of  Slap ‘n’ Tickle.  The NFB site describes the films as ‘naughty pieces of tale’, naturally intended for adult audiences.  And while the screening would have been more appropriately scheduled for this past Valentine’s Day weekend, they’ve got it in the right month.  Better late than never, especially when we’re talking about some sexy short films!

So if this sounds like fun, get yourself down to the NFB Mediatheque (150 John St at Richmond) tonight, Wednesday February 17th at 7pm.  It’s only $6 for the entire program ($4 if you’re a student, a senior, or an NFB member).
