Calling All Budding (Young) Filmmakers!

Do you live in the GTA?  Are you between the ages of 18 and 26?  Got nothing to do this weekend?  Well, how ’bout you make a film about our fair city?  Oh yes, you can!  The inaugural T24 Project (part of the Toronto Youth Shorts Film Festival) is taking place this Friday March 5th at 6:30pm in the Innis College Town Hall.

The T24 Project will hand out essay questions on Toronto, ranging from topics of community, economics, lifestyle, and culture.  You answer the question by making a 7-15 minute film in 24 hours.  Exciting, no?

Well, if the opportunity to make your own film isn’t incentive enough, how ’bout this: your T24 film could be chosen to screen at the Toronto Youth Shorts Film Festival opening night in late June.  Or you might win an award.  Maybe win a festival pass.  And, best of all, your film could get exposure with industry professionals!

So get down to the Innis Town Hall (2 Sussex Ave @ St. George) by 6:30pm on Friday, March 5th for your chance to exercise your creativity.  Please visit the T24 project link at the festival site for more information and to download the registration form.

If you can’t attend the T24 Project, don’t fret.  You can still submit film entries for the Toronto Youth Short Film Festival until May 7th.  See their website for details.
