Whoever said Mondays and Tuesdays were a bust? I personally love Mondays, and so, apparently, does the Revue. They’re breaking the boring cycle by bringing us all two very awesome events today and tomorrow!

First off, as part of Compassion Week, the Toronto Vegetarian Association is screening three short films followed by a discussion tonight at 7pm. Compassion Week is all about showing your compassion for animals through art, discussion, and food.   The shorts they’ll be showing are about captive, and rescued animals and those on display. Cost is $8.

The Canadian premiere of Burning Ice will be showing at 7pm tomorrow, June 1, followed by a Q&A. This documentary follows the 2008 arctic expedition of Cape Farewell, a group of collaborators passionate about demonstrating the effects of global warming in the High Arctic who hope also to generate a cultural discussion of the issue. Support an inspiring group, watch an awesome movie, and learn more about our global problem. Cost is $10, or $8 if you’re a kid, senior, or member.
