This month’s installment of the Book Revue at Revue Cinemas is this Tuesday August 17. Fearless leader and Toronto Star critic Geoff Pevere will lead discussions on the 1964 Christopher Isherwood novel A Single Man, and the recent Tom Ford adaptation that boasts the talent of Colin Firth and Julianna Moore.

If you do not have a copy, Another Story Book Shop in Roncesvalles will be glad to help, please mention your Book Revue discount, too. The Revue has also posted some pre-Book Revue links for your perusal prior to the event. You will find some points of discussion, insightful comments, and interviews there, just to prepare you for the day. If you’re looking for another perspective as well, you could take a glance at TFS writer Lucas Nochez’ review. A Single Man is widely considered Isherwood’s finest work, and was certainly a great challenge for Tom Ford’s directorial debut. Read, watch, and then discuss on Tuesday.
