After screening at film festivals in Torino, Whistler, Rotterdam and of course Toronto, Small Town Murder Songs will settle down for a week-long run at the Royal starting Friday, February 18.

Small Town Murder Songs is the latest feature from Canadian filmmaker Ed Gass-Donnelly.  The film  takes place in rural Ontario in the wake of a rape and murder case that torments the town’s police chief (Peter Storemare). The film has been embraced  in Canada and abroad, taking home the FIPRESCI critics’ prize for Best Film at the Torino Film Festival and the Best Actress award for Martha Plimpton at the Whistler Film Festival.
