This upcoming long weekend marks the 4th Annual Toronto Romanian Film Festival (TOROFF) which will be taking place downtown Toronto at both the Bloor Cinema and Innis Town Hall theatres.

The festival starts on Friday May 20 at 7:00 pm with If I Want to Whistle, I Whistle , directed by Florin Serban and featuring George Pistereanu. Saturday’s screenings start at 12:30 pm with HBO productions Merry Circus by Claudiu Mitcu and The Shukar Collective Project by Matei-Alexandru Mocanu, and continue all day ending with Tuesday, After Christmas starring Maria Popistasu at 9:00 pm. Sunday’s schedule begins with a collection of shorts at 1:30 pm and continues with a screening of Morgen by Marian Crisan. The festival wraps up Sunday evening with an Autobiography of Nicolae Ceausescu at 8:00 pm.
