TIFF presents Occupy Wall St. Newsreels
Occupy symbol

TIFF brings to Toronto for the first time Occupy Wall St. Newsreels. A throw-back to old school journalism, New York artist Jem Cohen has filmed a series of unbiased observations chronicling the Occupy Wall St. movement from this past fall.

Originally screened in New York prior to feature films during the protest, Cohen’s project provided viewers an unfiltered view into the events of Occupy Wall St. TIFF, in association with Reel Artists Film Festival, presents these newly edited in a five-channel installation for a whole month. Free daily screenings from 12:00 pm to 10:00 pm begin Wednesday, February 22 and run until March 23, 2012. Poignant and unique, Jem Cohen’s work can be seen at the TIFF Bell Lightbox Atrium (350 King St. W). For more information, check out the Reel Artists Film Festival website or the TIFF website.
