Fright Nights returns in time for Father’s Day

Astron-6 and Fright Nights at the Projection Booth are giving fathers an early gift this year. On June 9, 2012, the Projection Booth is screening the winner of last year’s Toronto After Dark audience award for Best Film, Father’s Day, a film from Canadian production company Astron-6, which saw the potential for horror in the holiday (perhaps tormented by horrors of the past?)

Also attending the screening is lead actress Amy Groening and two of Astron-6 co-founders, Steven Kostanski and Jeremy Gillespie, who will be holding a Q&A afterwards. A further addition to the programme will be two shorts from Astron-6, including the Toronto premiere of No Matter What You’re Dead!  As always, Fright Night will be hosted by Fangoria Magazine film writer Kelly Stewart, who also promises to give away awesome prizes. PRIZES!

Fight Night at the Projection Booth will be screening Father’s Day  this coming Saturday, June 9 at 9:00 pm. For more information, head over here.

Having performed Shakespeare in drag once, Daniel attempts to sound unique and mysteriously cool when speaking with woman in bars. He then proceeds to take over the dance floor, performing a rendition of Thom Yorke’s dancing in Radiohead’s Lotus Flower video as performed by a geriatric. Who is suffering. A lot apparently. He is also allergic to cats, the villainous harbingers of apocalypse and the odour of kitty litter – which is a stupid name for a toilet.
