Free Toronto Greek Film Retrospective runs July 12-14, 2012

The  Toronto Greek Film Retrospective, a series of free screenings showcasing some of the finest cinema from Greece, will be held July 12 to July 14, 2012. There is an eclectic mix of films across many genres, both contemporary and from the Golden Age of Greek cinema (1950s and 1960s). Films include: Phaedra, Iphigenia, Brides (Nyfes), What My Eyes Have Yet to See, Fred & Vinnie, The Island (Nissos) and Rembetiko.

This year’s host is comedian Angelo Tsarouchas, who will be debuting his critically-acclaimed and award-wining film Fred & Vinnie at the Canadian Gala on Saturday July 14, 2012.

The Toronto Greek Film Retrospective is July 12-14, 2012. All events will take place at The Danforth Music Hall (147 Danforth Ave). Final show times will be confirmed one week before opening night so please visit their website for all upcoming details.
