Ghostbusters
Movies In The Park presents Ghostbusters Sunday at 9:00 pm

If the current heatwave wasn’t enough to signal that summertime in Toronto is in full swing, the commencement of the annual outdoor screening series Movies In The Park should solidify it. For the last few years, they’ve been bringing free family-friendly films to Riverdale Park East, and this summer’s program begins this Sunday, July 8, 2012.

The first film up this summer is Ghostbusters, the classic 1984 comedy starring Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd, about a team of unemployed scientists who open a ghost removal business. Not only does the Movies in the Park showing this Sunday give out free entertainment, it also helps support two local children’s charities, Art City, St. James Town and  Toronto Kiwanis Boys & Girls Clubs, through sponsorships and donations.

This Sunday’s showing of Ghostbusters starts at 9:00 pm in Riverdale Park East, just off of Broadview Avenue. It’s only the first of four free outdoor screenings this summer (the next ones are scheduled for July 22, August 5 and August 19). For more information, please visit the Movies In The Park website, or their Facebook page.
