At the beginning of July, we previewed the upcoming summer series Cineplex Family Favourites. The series has offered great refuge for anyone wanting to take the family to the nice, chilled environment that can only be found in asummer matinee. The series also offers the chance to catch up on some great movies from their childhood, and all for the low low price of $2.50. (A portion of which goes to Starlight Canada, a charity offering support, education, and entertainment to children with serious illnesses and their families.)
For the month of August, Cineplex is continuing the series with screenings of Over the Hedge (which kids are bound to enjoy Steve Carell’s manic voicing of a hyperactive squirrel), Mouse Hunt (where a tiny pest outsmarts the likes of Nathan Lane and impeccable physical comedian Lee Evans), and finally, Ben Stiller’s adventures as an overnight security guard in Night at the Museum tying things off on August 25.
As with the last month, each film will be screened in select Cineplex theatres each Saturday at 11:00 am. For more information, visit the Family Favourites page on Cineplex.
