“It’s not the years…it’s the mileage.” Well, it’s the years now too. It’s been 31 years since Raiders of the Lost Ark first debuted on the big screen, but luckily it still occasionally pops up for a screening in theatres. That’s the case this Friday at Camera at 3:00 pm.
In this adventure, Indiana Jones has to thwart a devious French archeologist, Nazis and a monkey in their quest to find the extremely powerful and mysterious Ark of the Covenant. Of course, this is Raiders of the Lost Ark — a film that really needs no introduction. It’s the benchmark for any action-adventure, and gets better on every viewing. (I have lots of thoughts on this subject.)
This screening is also completely free! So head on down to Camera Lounge/Bar and Screening Gallery (1028 Queen Street West), 3:00 pm on Saturday, September 22, 2012. It certainly won’t be a “bad date!”
