TIFF 2012 party highlights

So, this year’s Toronto International Film Festival was, to put it mildly, one gigantic party for filmmakers, film-lovers and film industry types. Just our kind of party, then.

While we were out and about snapping this famous actor and that famous director, we met and chatted to some of the most  interesting people known to, well, anyone who knows anything about cinema. So many people, in fact, that we tried to snap as many as we could just so we wouldn’t forget them. Having said that, a few of the faces below aren’t exactly ones you’re likely to forget. Time to star spot again.

Yep, you probably know these guys. From left: Julianne Moore, Alison Mosshart and Alexander Skarsgård at the after party for What Masie Knew.

You might know Alison Mosshart better as “VV” from garage rock band The Kills. An effortlessly cool babe.

From left: Sam Rockwell, Abbie Cornish and Woody Harrelson at the after party for Seven Psychopaths.

From left: Elle Fanning, director Sally Potter and Christiana Hendricks at the after party for Potter’s coming-of-age drama Ginger & Rosa.

Abbie Cornish and a Sting look-alike getting close at the Seven Psychopaths after party.

The ever-brilliant Julianne Moore at the What Masie Knew after party. What a stunner, eh?

It’s hard to find time to sleep in this city. One of the many after parties we enjoyed in Toronto.

Our man Snoop Lion at the after party for Reincarnated. Now he knows how to party.

Brendan Canning of Broken Social Scene even spun a few records at the after party for The Perks of Being A Wallflower.
