Sure popcorn and movies go together quite well, but don’t you sometimes wish that film could have a more culinary companion? That’s exactly what the Revue Cinema has in mind with Epicure’s Revue. The series, which runs every two months, features a film paired with food inspired by it. The latest edition, on Thursday, September 27, 2012, consists of the 1992 forbidden love story Like Water for Chocolate and some excellent Mexican cuisine to match it.
Chef Joshna Maharaj hosts the screening, which begins at 6:30 pm. The menu features samples of tostadas, spicy Mexican chocolate taster bars, smoked charizo sausage and much more all from local restaurants. The cost of the evening is $10 for members and seniors and $13 for non members. It’s film and fine dining — what more could you asked for?
Where: Revue Cinema (400 Roncesvalles Avenue)
