The University of Toronto’s Cinema Studies Student Union (CINSSU) is continuing their trip down memory lane with free Friday night screenings. This week you can catch Stephen Spielberg’s Hook, the 1990s Peter Pan adaptation/sequel-that-was-against-the-odds-awesome starring Robin Williams as a 40-year-old Peter, Julia Roberts as Tinkerbell, and Dustin Hoffman as his nemesis, the villainous Captain Hook.
The CINSSU website has its autumn semester program available, for those of you who like to plan ahead for your awesome free time movies. It has a great lineup featuring Being John Malkovich, Monty Python the Holy Grail, and Dogma, running every week till the end of November. CINSSU is comprised of volunteers dedicated to students in the Cinema Studies program as well as celebrating the art of film with lectures, an annual academic journal, and screenings like these. Hook will screen this Friday September 28, 2012 at 7:00pm at Innis Town Hall.
