Doc Soup returns Wednesday, October 3, 2012 with THE SOURCE

The wait is finally over — the new season of Doc Soup begins this week, Wednesday October 3 and Thursday, October 4, 2012! Bloor Hot Docs Cinema plays host to the monthly screening series, which runs October 2012 through April 2013.

The film that kicks things off this year is THE SOURCE. The film, released in 2012, catches up with members from The Source Family — a spiritual group (cult?)/rock band/restauranteurs from 1970s Los Angeles. Directors Jodi Wille and Maria Demopoulos will be present at the screening and for a discussion afterwards. Screening times are 6:30 pm and 9:15 pm on Wednesday, and 6:45 pm on Thursday.

Single tickets for the event are $15, and can be purchased online or at the box office. There are also a variety of ticket packages available for the Doc Soup series. These sell out quickly, and the only ones still available are the Fixed Subscription for 9:15 pm screenings on Wednesdays and 6:45 pm screenings on Thursdays. The Doc Soup Student 6-Pack is also available, and it’s for only $35.
