I am straight up depressed to be missing the Revenge of the Bloor series at the Bloor Hot Docs Cinema this Thanksgiving weekend. So, I’ll just live vicariously through anyone who has the chance to check out these hilarious and awesome cult films on the big screen this weekend.
The fun begins at 11:15 pm on Friday, October 5, with the musical Little Shop of Horrors. If musicals aren’t your thing, the sci-fi comedy Innerspace screens at 1:00 pm, and Death Becomes Her at 11:30 pm on Saturday, October 6. And in lieu of Thanksgiving, Planes, Trains, and Automobiles rolls in on Sunday, October 7 at 9:00 pm.
What could be better than a weekend spent in the company of Rick Moranis, Dennis Quaid, Meg Ryan, Martin Short, Goldie Hawn, Meryl Streep, Steve Martin, and John Candy, in all of their ’80s and ’90s glory, no less? A lot of people might make the argument for turkey and family, but not me. This line-up is a guaranteed good time.
When: Friday, October 5 – Sunday, October 7, 2012
Where: The Bloor Hot Docs Cinema
