The Queen of Versailles
Today on the Scene: screenings and film fun for Monday, October 8, 2012

Happy Thanksgiving Toronto! It’s a fact that the best post-turkey and gravy activity is a nap and that the second best is a movie. Here’s what’s happening today on the scene for Monday, October 8, 2012.

At TIFF Bell Lightbox, you still have a chance to see the lyrical  Beasts of the Southern Wild.  For even more eye candy, go see the documentary  Samsara.  And Hitchcock-0-rama continues with a new print of  Dial M for Murder  in 3-D. And if you haven’t seen it yet,  Queen of Versailles  is continuing its run today.

If you’re looking for even more docs to be thankful for, hit the  Bloor Hot Docs Cinema.    Detropia  screens at 1 pm, 6:45 pm, and 9:15 pm, or you can catch Beauty is Embarrassing at 4:00 pm.

The Revue Cinema has a line-up to be thankful for with Brave 3D at 1:30 pm, The Dark Knight Rises at 4:00 pm or 9:00 pm, and  Queen of Versailles  at 7:00 pm.

Projection Booth East, Projection Booth Metro, and The Royal will all be closed on Monday.
