It is one of our primary mandates to connect film lovers in Toronto to their local filmmakers. “Toronto” is defined as anywhere within the amalgamated City of Toronto (anywhere with a postal code beginning with the letter “M”.)

Toronto Film Scene will consider any production/film to be “Toronto Made” if it meets a minimum of two of the following:

  • Director: The film’s director lives within the City of Toronto (as defined above.)
  • Cast: A minimum of 50% of the film’s cast lives within the City of Toronto (as defined above.)
  • Writer: The film’s writer lived within the City of Toronto (as defined above.)
  • Location: A minimum of 50% of the film was shot within the City of Toronto (as defined above.)

Alternately, if you are an out of town filmmaker with a Toronto screening, we’d love to hear about that too. In either case, please complete the below form and we’ll be in touch! Looking forward to connecting with you!

In order to be considered a “Toronto Production” your film must meet two of the following.
  • If your film is not a Toronto Production, you must indicate the location of your Toronto screening. If you do not have one, indicate “none.”
  • If you do not have a screening, indicate today’s date.
If you do not have a Toronto screening, please indicate the nature of your contact.
