Why yes, we are looking for writers.
It is Toronto Film Scene’s mission to cover as much of Toronto as possible. We aim to have diverse voices and opinions. We want to be the premiere resource for film in Toronto and we can’t do it alone.
We’re looking to build a team of writers who passionately love everything about film and, most importantly, love talking about film. We’re also looking for people who really, really, really love Toronto and all that it can offer a film lover.
Why Write for Us
Toronto Film Scene connects you to the right audience. You write about film, our readers love to read about it. TFS is a forum to discuss the goods and bads of what’s happening in film in Toronto and to openly discuss your opinions – and to get feedback from readers on those opinions. It’s true that we’re just getting started right now but that’s an opportunity to grow with us. We have no designs on limiting what you write, it’s your voice that we want.
What We Need from You
We’re looking for people who are just as passionate about film as they are about Toronto. We’re looking for people who understand that the way Torontonians look experience is different than other places in the country. We’re looking for people who are bursting with ideas and can’t wait to get them out on the screen. We’re looking for someone with commitment – someone who is committed to sticking to their word and meeting deadlines.
Sounds Like You?
Well if it does, then you’re our writer. But wait, we don’t even know who you are yet. Let’s fix that; get in touch with the us either by emailing our Chief Movielover Trista at trista@theTFS.ca or by using the contact form below with the following:
- Your name. (This is really important).
- Your email. (This is really important too.)
- Why you would like to write for us.
- A post idea or two. Tell us something you think you would like to write about.
- An example of your work, or many, if you wish.
- Your favorite movie. (Just out of curiosity.)
- Something you think we should know about you. A quirk. Your favorite band. Why you have a tarantula as a pet. Whatever you wish.
