In the always formulaic world of romantic comedies, there are a few sub-genres that I find particularly satisfying. At the top of that list is the adventure / whodunit rom-com, in which the star crossed protagonists fall in love while solving a usually convoluted mystery involving a big drug deal, police corruption, stolen jewels, or something else that involves mild danger and some sneaking around in a shipyard or warehouse.
