So often in horror, when the world has gone to hell and there’s no hope left, movies are written from the survivor’s perspective – I am Legend and Dawn of the Dead are just two such examples in an ocean of movies. Daybreakers decides instead to create a world where humans are hunted and our numbers are dwindling but to tell the story from the perspective of the winners of this war: The vampires.
